These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the websites, applications, and services provided by Canadian Bank Statement Converter (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Services. By accessing or using the Services, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements outlined in these Terms.
2. Accounts
To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You will not:

- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services or related systems or networks.
- Use the Services to transmit malware, spam, or other harmful code.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the Services except as permitted by applicable law.
4. Uploaded Content
You retain all rights to the bank statements and documents you upload. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, and revocable license to process and convert the documents solely for the purpose of providing the Services. We do not claim ownership of your content, and we delete source files in accordance with our data retention policy.
5. Fees and Payment
Certain features are provided as part of paid subscription plans. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to pay all applicable fees. Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider (Stripe).
6. Intellectual Property
The Services, including all software, text, graphics, logos, and content, are owned by Canadian Bank Statement Converter or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except as expressly permitted, you may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of the Services or any part thereof.
7. Third-Party Services
The Services may contain links to or integrate with third-party services. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices. Your use of those services is governed by the terms of the third party.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Canadian Bank Statement Converter and its affiliates, directors, employees, or agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of the Services.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Canadian Bank Statement Converter, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Services, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if necessary to protect the Services or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province of Ontario, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be resolved exclusively in the courts located in Ontario, Canada, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the “last updated” date. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
